The Art and Practice of Managing Digital Media

DAM libraries that work

There are a welter of moving parts in digital asset management. Moving through discovery, design and development, through to implementation, Ann distills the elements into an  integrated system. The process is on-going, changing and re-balancing. Successfully wrangling a DAM takes listening, communicating, operating in the spirit of continuous improvement, and paying attention to changes over time. Remaining fluid is key.

“Ann is a Digital Asset Management guru.  Her experience working with clients on multiple DAMs gives her unique insight into the various ways companies manage their assets across different platforms, which results in innovative ideas for leveraging the tools in front of her. I've never met a system administrator as willing and interested to learn a new system. She understands the entire lifecycle of an asset and the process of what it takes for a company to plan for, create, and then distribute assets to the organization while making them findable and usable in the most efficient way for their unique process. She understands how each user audience is consuming content and how to support them. She's a critical and trusted advisor to the entire process.”

Meet Ann Childs

Ann’s passion for her career and hands-on approach sets her apart. She enjoys the challenge of creating digital libraries that work for each new project. The challenge lies in weaving together specific customer requirements, together with industry best practices, while still fitting into the particulars of the chosen DAM software. Each puzzle is intriguing to solve.

Her solid project management skills are the bedrock for her successes in DAM, in marketing communications, branding, graphic production, and marketing operations. Add on a refined talent for identifying and naming the elements that make up a whole system, and you get a great planner and taxonomist on your team.
